No tips or tactics today.
Just a quiet moment of reflection and gratitude.
Today’s my 40th birthday, and while I don’t want to make it a whole thing (I would be mortified), I do want to say something important:
Thank you.
If you’re reading this, you’ve given meaning to my work.
You’ve trusted me with your attention.
You’ve shown me—over and over again—that there’s a real need for more honest conversations about solo practice. About boundaries. About redefining success. About building something that feels good, is not just impressive on paper.
And because of that trust, I’ve been able to create tools, share stories, and build a community I genuinely love. One that feels deeply aligned with what I want to continue to contribute in this next season of life.
So today, for me, is about gratitude.
To everyone who's read a post, replied to an email, or shared my work with another solo:
You’ve helped me turn a dream into an impact.
And that’s the best gift I could ask for.
Thank you for being here.
I appreciate you.
With deep gratitude,
Lauren
P.S. If my work has helped you in any way—big or small—I’d love to hear about it. Comment and tell me what resonated most with you.
Happy Birthday, Lauren! I want to thank you for opening my eyes to a new way of practicing law and permission to set boundaries around setting and meeting professional goals while keeping your personal life and happiness a priority. A work in process for me.....
